Oxford University
On 29th and 30th january HEAPS students will have opportunity to visit Oxford University.
Below is an outline of the day, timings are approximate and will be confirmed in early January.
8.30am Bus leaves Victoria (9.15am Hillingdon)
10.30am Arrive Oxford St Hughes College
11am Talk – Why go to university and what’s the deal with Oxford or Cambridge?
12pm Lunch in Somerville, St Anne’s or St Hughes
1pm Shadow a current Oxford undergraduate and look around their college
3pm How much will university cost?
4pm Coach leaves Oxford
5.30pm Back in London
The shadowing will be a great opportunity, you will spend a couple of hours doing what an Oxford student would, studying, at a seminar, you can ask loads of questions and get to look around their college accommodation.
The trip is free; you just need to get to the coach stop on time. Please RSVP to me by January 10th with your chosen degree or area of study; if you don’t know the exact subject yet make an educated guess based on you’re A-levels (biological sciences, physical sciences, economics, Humanities, Maths) The trip is running on 2 days so everyone can have the chance to shadow a student, see the list below to find out what day your school is attending. If your school isn’t listed it’s a mistake not exclusion so get in touch and let me know!
