Aims:
To ensure students have submitted their application
If not please encourage them too and help them with any parts where they are struggling
To ensure they are prepared for interview/entrance test if applicable
Below are a few questions you can ask them to
How would they act in an interview?
Have they actually done everything their personal statement says they have?
Why have they chosen this course?
Why do they want to study at university?
Get them to tell you about a book/article you have recently read
Ask them for more information on something from their personal statement?
To discuss any replies they have had already and make sure they understand the implications
If they don’t get into their first choice how would they feel?
Encourage them to sign up t open days so that they have seen their chosen universities before accepting any of them.
Ensure they understand that the deadlines for accepting offers vary depending on when they applied – do they know theirs?
To make sure that those students retaking year 12 are prepared
Have student identified and dealt with the issues that prevented them getting the grades they needed?
Have they or you let HEAPS know that they are retaking?
All the cohort 3 trips are available to those students retaking year 12
